Darn insecurities!!

Accepting yourself for who you are is hard for many people. Accepting your weaknesses, your strengths, your good qualities, and your bad qualities is not something that we are taught in school.

For the most part of our lives, we are being told how to live our life, how to behave, what's good, what's bad, and we are constantly being judged by almost everyone.
It's one of the root causes of insecurities. If you could just accept who you are and stop judging yourself, comparing yourself, and stop berating yourself over your past experiences, you will be a much happier person.

Insecurities in a relationship usually develop from past experiences. Something that reminds you of your negative past, might bring up all those negative emotions that were associated with that past event.

Everyone has that. How you deal with it is what defines your personality. If you let that insecurity lead into a fight and ruin your relationship, you are doomed to having a life full of sour relationships.

But if you accept those insecurities and work on it constructively, you can have a relationship that most people only dream of. But, the only way to work on relationship insecurities constructively is you have an understanding girlfriend. And no girlfriend will be willing to understand you unless you are willing to understand her insecurities.

If you just try to make an effort to understand her fears, her insecurities, her feelings, her desires, she will feel blessed to have a boyfriend like you.
And the more she feels comfortable with you, the more of her insecurities will diminish over time.
If you have a girlfriend with a lot of insecurities, and you ask someone for advice, they will probably tell you to dump her and move on, which is a good advice in case of extremely insecure women. But I strongly believe that if you have someone you think is worth holding on to, don't let their negative qualities overshadow their positive ones.
No one is perfect. But relationships can be perfect.
You can deal with her insecurities if you tackle this problem the right way.
